Benartex Quilting Fabrics was founded in 1980 by Selim Benardete, lovingly known as Mr B.  Based in New York, the company’s original focus was selling speciality fabrics however, after visiting some quilt shows, Mr B fell in love with quilting and the rest is history.  

Now a leading supplier of 100% cotton designer prints, Benartex is the Brand umbrella  for three design studios – Benartex, Kanvas Studio and Comtempo.

Each brand within the Benartex family has it’s own particular style. 

Benartex – fine quality traditional prints, Kanvas Studio – brilliant colour and trendy designs and Contempo – modern, trend-setting prints.

Today, Mr B’s vision lives on and Benartex is now the number one choice for many quilters around the world.
